These were my first ever pair of mittens (just a basic mittens pattern), and I remember that I was thoroughly perplexed by the thumb, and ended up FaceTiming Grammy to figure it out–which worked!

I rounded out the set (a gift for Dan’s nephew) with an adorable baseball hat (that I’m told he wore all winter long) based on the Baby Baseball Hat pattern by Cassandra May.
