After knitting two sweaters in a row (1 & 2), I was in need of an instant gratification project, and this hat was the perfect fit. It was fun, quick, and the pattern (by Sofia Moussa) was very easy to follow.
I held worsted weight yarn (Malabrigo Worsted and Malabrigo Rios) double to make the bulky fabric that the pattern called for. Thanks to the bulky yarn and the layer of floats from stranded knitting, this hat is VERY warm–perfect for a snowy walk in the woods. 🙂
If you’d like to be the proud owner of this hat, check out the listing on my Etsy shop. Also feel free to check out my Ravelry project page here.
I ended up coming back to this pattern and knitting a child-size, as part of a set for my mom (grandma-to-be!):
